Originally used for exterior windows, we salvaged this glass panel and a few others because we were mesmerised by the beauty of what seems to be a production error. The laminated glass contains small gas bubbles and a weird crystallisation process is taking place either in the glass or in the glue between the laminated parts.
Glass is revealed here as a reactive, aging, and stubborn material. This stands in contrast with the idea of glass as an “anti-material”; the perfect slave that keeps the cold out be does not impose its presence in any other way.
