Metal console salvaged in the “boekentoren”, the tower library designed by Henri Van de Velde in 1937 for the Ghent university. The building was designed as a silo for books, serving the underlying university campus. This console served as a landing platform for capsules sent across the different floors of the building through a system of pneumatic tubes. The capsules would contain instructions for what books were to be loaded into the paternoster book elevator by the workers. Dimensions (length/width/height): 20,5×23,5×18 cm
