Originally used as an outside cladding, these square slabs in gabbro (black granite) have been salvaged from the facade of the office building above the Montparnasse station in Paris. 

Known as the former CNP building, this modernist block is part of sector IV of the Maine-Montparnasse urban renewal project of the 1960s. This part of the project included the reconstruction of the train station, as well as the construction, as a superstructure above it, of the office building designed by the AOM agency, the project management team in charge of the entire project. The work was completed in 1970.

The slabs were held in place by aluminium profiles, which prevented them from significant damage and holes on the edges during dismantling. The front is polished with a 'mirror' finish and the back is just sawn which offers anti-slip qualities. The product is sold per slab. Each slab contains 1,32 m².

Good used condition. There are some light chips, scratches, cement traces on the edges and joint residues on the surface. Dusty, needs to be cleaned.
