These tiles have been salvaged from the overstock of Emery&Cie, a Belgian tiles manufacturer specialised in Zellige mosaic tilework. The tiles are suitable only for wall cladding. According to the manufacturer, these cast glass tiles were manufactured in India in relatively primitive kilns, which gives them that imperfect and irregular appearance. 

We only sell this product in our physical shop, various finishes are available (in a transparent or mirrored version, thanks to the application of a layer of zinc on the reverse side).

New, from an overstock (never installed). There are some imperfections due to storage. Unlike industrial flat glass, which undergoes specific heat treatments to ensure its stability, the manufacturing process used for glass paste means that it retains internal tensions that can cause cracks, sometimes referred to as ‘hairline cracks’. These internal cracks do not affect the strength of the laying tiles and are part of the nature of these handcrafted glass tiles. Dusty, needs to be cleaned.
