The 40/4 chair is the compactly stackable chair designed by David Rowland in 1964. Forty chairs can be stacked within a height of 4 feet (120 cm), giving the chair its name. The frame of the chair is made of rod chromed steel. The seating is made of formed plywood veneer with white lacquered finish. This model was manufactured by Howe.

Good used condition. There are visible scratches and chips on the plywood. Glides are used. A bit dusty, needs to be cleaned.
