These lemps were part of a large chandelier designed by Gleb Filshtinsky for the set design of the opera Carmen directed by Dmitri Tcherniakov and coproduced by the Aix en Provence Festival and La Monnaie/De Munt (the federal opera house in Belgium).
The lamps are spare parts from a larger structure that was suspended above the stage during the performance. Each lamp features a brass-plated steel ring mounted with clear PVC tubes, as well as integrated light sources.
The set includes two chandeliers and a custom-made plywood storage and transport box.
