Victor Meesters, Vincent Laureau and RotorDC invite you to a walking conference, where their research comes to life through the materials, processes and spaces of Rotor's site in Evere.
The presentation will be in French, followed by a moment to connect over drinks.
The book launch takes place at RotorDC on June 3rd, from 6pm.

About the book :
"20 petites leçons d’économie de matière" is a book written by Victor Meesters (Rotor) and Vincent Laureau, and the fruit of a course on reuse and materiality given by Victor to architecture students. After having learned and discussed the subject matter for several months, the group came up with a series of concepts, practices and strategies for reducing the overall material consumption in construction.
The chosen projects illustrating each principle show current applications of old and new material saving strategies and present a starting point for a reconsideration of material use in architecture and construction. The book showcases interventions at different scales, going from moving entire buildings to facilitating maintenance, providing pragmatic actions that can be integrated into everyday construction and design practices.
