This door has been salvaged in 2014 by our team from the former headquarters of the Générale de Banque (now BNP Paribas Fortis). The building, constructed between 1968 and 1979, was located on the Warandeberg in Brussels. Two renowned Belgian designers from that period, Jules Wabbes and Christophe Gevers, were commissioned to design the interiors. They are both well-known for their meticulous approach to craftsmanship and distinctive use of high-quality, timeless materials. Each salvaged item has developed its own unique patina during its time in use.
The product features a single door in wood veneer with bronze door handles by Jules Wabbes. The handles are in cast-bronze but slightly vary from one door to another. Door plate screws may be missing. Key, lock case and hinge are missing.

Used condition. There are a some scratches, small cracks and visible chips. The handles feature natural variations and subtle pitting corrosion. The sand-casting method has given the door handle a rough finish with minor surface irregularities and texture differences that are inherent to the casting process. Dusty, needs to be cleaned.
Please note: this product is unique and has been salvaged from a bespoke project, meaning each piece may require specific additional work to reinstall. As the items are non-standard and the original mounting system is not included, some adaptation of fixings may be necessary. The axis or spindle may also require disassembly, cleaning, and lubrication where it has become stuck, and minor adjustments or realignment may be needed to ensure smooth operation.
