These items have been salvaged in 2014 by our team from the former headquarters of the Générale de Banque (now BNP Paribas Fortis). The building, constructed between 1968 and 1979, was located on the Warandeberg in Brussels. Each salvaged item has developed its own unique patina during its time in use.
The product features a single sided door handle in chrome-plated brass with a keyhole and 4 fixing holes on the plate. Screws are not included. The handle is swivel (square spindle included with 0,8 cm width and 4 cm length).
Height | 22,2 cm |
Width | 8 cm |
Total depth | 6 cm (+ 4 cm with the spindle) |
Used condition. There are visible scratches, dents, corrosion traces and tiny chips. Over time, the chrome layer of the chrome-plated brass handle has worn away in some places through regular use and exposure, revealing the brass substrate beneath. This wear may result in variations in surface colour and texture, including areas of dullness or minor oxidation. Such changes are consistent with the material composition and age of the hardware. Dusty, needs to be cleaned.
Please note: this hardware is unique and has been salvaged from a bespoke project, meaning each piece may require specific additional work to reinstall. As the items are non-standard and the original mounting system is not included, some adaptation of fixings may be necessary. The axis or spindle may also require disassembly, cleaning, and lubrication where it has become stuck, and minor adjustments or realignment may be needed to ensure smooth operation.
