The profile 'Mille Feuille' with the little steel plates attached is used as diffuser. Each little plates can be adjusted.
In the interior of the General de Banque Headquarters in Brussels (1971-1973), the Belgian designer Jules Wabbes installed for the entrance hall a suspended structure as a wall-to-wall set up to hide all technical devices from the ceiling - such as ventilation grills, lighting, smoke detectors. The surface which resembled bank notes hanging from the ceiling was referred to as 'Mille Feuille'.
