The profile connector is used to connect two steel support profiles to extend the length of the “Mille Feuille” light diffusing ceiling.
In the interior of the General de Banque Headquarters in Brussels (1971-1973), the Belgian designer Jules Wabbes installed for the entrance hall this suspended structure as a wall-to-wall set up to hide all technical devices from the ceiling - such as ventilation grills, lighting, smoke detectors. The surface which resembled bank notes hanging from the ceiling was referred to as 'Mille Feuille'.
