In the interior of the General de Banque Headquarters in Brussels (1971-1973), the Belgian designer Jules Wabbes installed for the entrance hall a suspended structure as a wall-to-wall set up to hide all technical devices from the ceiling - such as ventilation grills, lighting, smoke detectors. The surface which resembled bank notes hanging from the ceiling was referred to as 'Mille Feuille'.
