" We proposed to use this material for these two pieces because we are interested in using more materials from the circular economy but often find it hard to find the right material to fit a design that was not purposely made for a specific existing material.
The glulam is a very basic raw material: solid wood glued together, and it is available in a big quantity and in a lot of dimensions. This might sound like a dull argument but this is very important for a professional builder to consider proposing it to a client who did not ask specifically for circular materials. It doesn’t have the design and processing limits that some other circular materials have."
