For the opening of their new venue (January 2026)), the team at The Unusual cafe wanted a space that broke the mould. So they commissioned Design with Sense to devise a design that reflects their identity: welcoming, warm and slightly offbeat.
The starting point? Doors from Brussels, salvaged from the renovation site of the Oxy building in the city centre and collected from RotorDC and Batiterre.
These doors are incorporated into a unique structure made of solid fir, crafted by us using old structural glued laminated timber supplied by RotorDC and transformed by the Bout2Bois workshop (Ferme Nos Pilifs).
