In 2018 we helped to empty an 18th century timber framed house that was filled to the brim with tons and tons of historical hardware. Nails, rivets, levers, ancient wall plugs, cabinet handles, hand tools, screws, ... almost without exception produced before 1960. We have still some unpacking to do, we do this in the calm moments.
Note : the Walloon public archeological services took the initiative of making a very thorough documentation of this remarkable site. They took a sample of each of the more than 5000 different products, and added this to their archive!
