Wall/ceiling light 'Jules' in steel
This lamp has been conceived by our lighting workshop based on the little steel plates attached to the light diffusing ceiling 'Mille Feuille' from the Générale de Banque. In the interior of the General de Banque Headquarters in Brussels (1971-1973), the Belgian designer Jules Wabbes decided to install for the entrance hall this suspended structure as a wall-to-wall set up to hide all technical devices from the ceiling - such as ventilation grills, lighting, smoke detectors. The surface which resembled bank notes hanging from the ceiling was referred to as 'Mille Feuille'.
The aluminium disk base has been designed by our team to hold the diffusing steel plates, which can be adjusted to create different lighting effects.
