Our transformation project moves forward!  

The puzzle pieces are coming together! Since moving here in the summer of 2022, our long-term goal is to transform this site into a vibrant centre dedicated to reuse, craftsmanship and urban production. This place would not only be a next-level salvage yard, but it would also house an ecosystem of enterprises and initiatives – changing the way the region's construction industry approaches materials and objects.

In order to make this a reality, some transformation works will be required on our 14,000 m² plot of land located in the Da Vinci business district of citydev.brussels. 

No plans for demolition: the project consists of keeping the existing buildings from the 1980s and improving, transforming and extending them, using a large share of reclaimed and bio-based materials.

And here's the good news: we have finally got the green light for a key part of the project's funding! Quite some time ago, we applied for a ERDF call for projects aiming to support the development of reuse and recycling infrastructures in the Brussels Region. The selection process has somewhat put our nerves to the test, taking an interminable two years. Happily, the outcome is positive! (By the way, there are other fantastic projects that will see the light of day thanks to the same call – we’ll write more about this another time).

For us, this means we can move forward. In particular, we can resume our own design competition that we started with the guidance of the BMA Bouwmeester Maitre Architecte team.
